Mill Farm is a genuine working mixed family farm, with the main enterprise being the production of quality beef, along with cereals and fodder. The farm is about 200 acres in size with additional grassland located in the surrounding village. During your stay at Witham Barn, expect to see some of the residents at close quarters - children especially love to see the cows and horses at close quarters in their natural surroundings.
We asked local model Sian to act as a guide around the farm and acquaint you with our facilities that cannot be observed in the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
Sian presents Witham Barn from the fields that surround the farm and run down the valley to the River Witham. During the day these fields are habited by the cattle that come down from the top fields to graze.
One of many tractors based at Mill Farm; visitors and children love to see these huge machines in action. Throughout the year they are kept busy on an endless list of tasks associated with running a busy and productive farming enterprise.
Cooling off after a stroll on a summer afternoon - the River Witham meanders through the farmland presenting this timeless rural scene. The river is stocked with Brown Trout for fly fishing. We can provide a reservation to enjoy a leisurely afternoon's fishing along this beautiful stretch of water.
